Marion Winik Presents: Clifford Chase And James Magruder

Clifford Chaseโs newest book is The Tooth Fairy: Parents, Lovers, and Other Wayward Deities. He is also the author of Winkie, a novel, and The Hurry-Up Song, a memoir. He edited the anthology Queer 13: Lesbian & Gay Writers Recall Seventh Grade, and his writing has appeared in publications ranging from Newsday to Yale Review to McSweeneyโs. He lives in New York City.
James Magruder is a fiction writer, playwright and translator. His newest book is Let Me See It, a collection of stories. His first novel, Sugarless, was a Lambda Literary Award finalist, and his stories have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, New England Review, Subtropics, The Normal School and elsewhere. He also wrote the book for the ill-starred Broadway musical, Triumph of Love. He lives in Baltimore and teaches theatre at Swarthmore College.
Marion Winik is the author of Highs in the Low Fifties: How I Stumbled Through the Joys of Single Living. Her other works include Telling, First Comes Love, The Lunch-Box Chronicles, Rules for the Unruly, Above Us Only Sky and The Glen Rock Book of the Dead. She has also published two books of poetry, NonStop and BoyCrazy. Winikโs โBohemian Rhapsodyโ column appears bi-weekly on Baltimore Fishbowl, and she regularly reviews books for Newsday. A professor in the MFA program at the University of Baltimore, Winik was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Creative Non-Fiction and has been inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters.
