Tour dem Parks, Hon! is the annual bike ride through Baltimore’s parks and neighborhoods that offers a close-up view of regional parks like Carroll, Patterson, Herring Run & Druid Hill. In other words, it’s a great way to spend a gorgeous Sunday hitting some of Baltimore’s best green spaces. It’s perfect for avid cyclists and newbies alike. That’s because participants get to choose from 3 routes: 14 miles (the family ride on the Jones’ Falls Trail), 25 miles or 35 miles. You get to ride at your own pace, and take in the sights on your own time. This is a bike ride that’s all about seeing– not about winning.
No matter which path you choose for your ride, you’ll be starting and ending at Druid Hill Park. All proceeds from the ride support Baltimore’s parks, as well as environmental, “friends of parks” and cycling groups. That means more to love and enjoy about our city’s parks in the future! Tour dem Parks, Hon! is fully supported, too, with multiple rest stops and ending with a barbeque lunch and live jazz. So pump up those two tires and ride on down.
Tour dem Parks, Hon! takes place Sunday, June 14th at Druid Hill Park. Registration begins at 7:30am. For more information, visit www.tourdemparks.org.
