Baltimore has one less pizza spot to patronize.
Two Boots Pizza, a shop at The Fitzgerald apartment building near Bolton Hill, closed permanently last weekend.
โWith great regret, we have to inform you that we are closing Two Boots Baltimore as of Saturday, April 1, 2017,โ says a message on the door. โWeโve had a great six years at this location and itโs been a true joy to feed the MICA, UB, Bolton Hill and Mount Vernon communities.โ
The shop opened in 2011 as part of an expansion plan by the New York-based pizzeria chain, which also has outlets in California and Connecticut. It was one of the first commercial tenants at tThe Fitzgerald, located in the 1200 block of West Mount Royal Avenue.
Its name refers to the boot shapes of Louisiana and Italy that symbolize its Cajun and Italian fare.
The owners explored plans to open another Baltimore location in the East Baltimore Development Inc. renewal area, but didnโt move ahead with the idea.
