The Hall of Fame Series is back at CFG Bank Arena on Nov. 3, featuring four men’s college basketball programs from Maryland.

The doubleheader includes the Maryland Terrapins, who will face the Coppin State University Eagles, and the Towson Tigers, who will take on the Loyola Greyhounds.

Game times will be announced at a later date. For tickets, presale starts on July 21 at 10 a.m. Regular ticket sales begin July 23 at 10 a.m.

“The Hall of Fame Series will be a tremendous way to open the upcoming season, and it is going to be special for the passionate basketball fans of Baltimore,” said Maryland head coach Buzz Williams. “I believe the last time the University of Maryland Men’s Basketball team played in Baltimore was 2018, so it will be a good opportunity to get the Terps back in a city with such great basketball history.”

This is the second time the Hall of Fame Series has come to Baltimore since its start-up in 2023. Last year, the Virginia Cavaliers beat the Villanova Wildcats, and the Penn State Nittany Lions beat the Virginia Tech Hokies. Both games were played on Nov. 15 and featured almost 5,000 fans.

“We are excited to be playing at a great venue in our home city in an event that brings local teams and fans together,” said Loyola head coach Josh Loeffler. “These games should provide a fun environment for all basketball fans in Charm City.”

CFG Bank Arena reopened in February 2023 after undergoing a year of renovations. It has since hosted the CIAA college basketball tournament, WWE wrestling, musical artists such as Lizzo and Bruce Springsteen and more.

“Returning to Baltimore for a second year demonstrates the growing excitement around the Hall of Fame Series and the region’s passion for college basketball,” said Melissa Meacham-Grossman, President of Position Sports. “With Maryland headlining alongside respected local programs like Coppin State, Towson, and Loyola, this event highlights the incredible basketball tradition in and around Baltimore.”

Position Sports owns and operates The Hall of Fame Series. The event is “a collection of multi-game, singular events that showcases several collegiate men’s and women’s basketball teams in exciting non-conference matchups,” according to its website. The Hall of Fame Series also has games scheduled for Las Vegas, Boston, Phoenix and Los Angeles.

The Phoenix-based company works with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame to put on the event. They signed a 10-year deal in 2023 to put on the yearly event.
