Courtesy Citybizlist – Sandy Springs Friends School and Georgetown Preparatory School have been ranked among the most expensive boarding schools in the country, according to a listing published in Business Insider.
Sandy Springs, costing an annual $52,850 for room, board and fees, placed sixth on the list. With an enrollment of 553 students, the school was cited for a community farm that provides students with an education in sustainable food production.
[St. Alban’s School n Washington, D.C. also made the list. Last month, St. Alban’s was listed among the most expensive private high schools as well in Business Insider, with tuition of nearly $39,000. Most Baltimore prep schools cost about $25,000 a year.]
