Club Volo, a social sports community, will return to the Baltimore Peninsula’s waterfront this summer.

The organization will host sporting leagues and recreational activities for adults, such as bocce, beach volleyball, pickleball, soccer, cornhole, and flag football in partnership with the Baltimore Peninsula — a mixed-used development located in Baltimore City.

Volo found success when it first opened at the Peninsula last year. Giovanni Marcantoni, founder of Volo, hopes that success will continue this year.

“If you’re a long-time Volo player or it’s your first time playing, now is the time to get involved with sports at Club Volo at Baltimore Peninsula,” Marcantoni said in a statement. “We’re so excited for our next season here in the neighborhood.”

Aside from sporting events, a happy hour featuring music, drinks and food made by local Baltimore restaurants will be available on Thursdays for ages 21 and over.

Volo also has a youth organization, the Volo Kids Foundation, which provides free sports programs across South Baltimore. Marcantoni said the partnership with the Baltimore Peninsula allows for the support of Volo Kids.

Below is a list of events Volo hosts throughout the summer:

June 8: Pride Cup In Hand Tournament

To kick off Pride Month, Volo allows participants to compete in teams to win a prize by kicking, pitching and running the bases without spilling drinks.

June 8: LGBTQ Draft Beach Volleyball Tournament

Individuals or teams of six to eight players will compete in beach volleyball and the winning team will go home with prizes. The tournament will entail knockouts and rally scoring.

June 15: Dinkin’ with Dad Pickleball Tournament
