The last time Baltimore band Wye Oak put out a record, it was listed as the top album of the year by the Onion’s AV Club and garnered them appearances on Jimmy Fallon, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, and plenty of other attention. The video for the song “Civilian” has nearly 2 million views on YouTube to date.

Well, the band has a new, highly-anticipated album coming out at the end of April. And they just put out a casting call seeking dancers for their next music video… no previous dancing experience required.

According to the Craigslist post seeking dancers, the band is looking for ten dancers (seven men and three women) “who fit the look of a construction-worker or mechanic type,” preferably age 30 to 50. Oh, and you should probably “enjoy getting dirty.” Hmmmm.

I for one am intrigued; I’m going to start working on my construction worker look ASAP. If you care to be my competition, see here for details on rehearsals and how to apply for the gig.
