The last time Baltimore band Wye Oak put out a record, it was listed as the top album of the year by the Onionโ€™s AV Club and garnered them appearances on Jimmy Fallon, NPRโ€™s Tiny Desk Concert, and plenty of other attention. The video for the song โ€œCivilianโ€ has nearly 2 million views on YouTube to date.

Well, the band has a new, highly-anticipated album coming out at the end of April. And they just put out a casting call seeking dancers for their next music videoโ€ฆ no previous dancing experience required.

According to the Craigslist post seeking dancers, the band is looking for ten dancers (seven men and three women) โ€œwho fit the look of a construction-worker or mechanic type,โ€ preferably age 30 to 50. Oh, and you should probably โ€œenjoy getting dirty.โ€ Hmmmm.

I for one am intrigued; Iโ€™m going to start working on my construction worker look ASAP. If you care to be my competition, see here for details on rehearsals and how to apply for the gig.
