We Are in the Middle of Baltimore’s Raniest June. Ever.

It sure has been damp around here recently, hasn’t it? Between the rain clouds, slow summer drizzles, and dramatic tornado-warning thunderstorms, we’ve seen nearly 10 inches of rain so far this month–that’s almost three times the average of 3.46 inches of rain.

That officially makes this the wettest June on record, beating out the previous record set more than 40 years ago. And it looks like more rain is heading our way before we flip the calendar over to July: more storms are in the forecast for this weekend.

Baltimore, I hope you’ve got your umbrellas, galoshes, and rain jackets ready. Or maybe it’s best to just stay inside.
