I guess there’s a certain logic behind it. If you’re going to rob a bank, and it’s likely that you will soon have your likeness plastered all over news media, you might as well look good.
An unidentified woman wore an awful lot of pink — though I guess, technically, it’s more like magenta — before robbing a Capital One bank in Landover, Md., on Monday. She passed one of those now classic bank-robbing notes to the teller. The teller complied with an undisclosed amount of cash. The woman ran.
She even coordinated her non-pink elements. Her purse, gloves, and buttons are all black, which I think makes good fashion sense. I mean, the coat and head scarf make such a loud statement, it’s probably best for all your other pieces to be really understated so as not to muddle your look.
Here’s what I want to know: did she get rid of the coat immediately? Or, are her fashion choices a pathological fascination with the color that will ultimately be her undoing?
