World renowned artist and designer Michael Aram will be appearing at Radcliffe Jewelers, located in Baltimore, Maryland, for a special showing and signing of his Spring 2016 fine jewelry and home collections.
Michael Aram is an award-winning designer of beautiful and distinctive objects. After taking what would later be a life altering trip to India in 1989, where he discovered rich metalworking traditions, Aram turned his artistic vision towards craft based design. For over twenty-five years, he has honed his metallurgist techniques to create his signature, sculpted designs in precious metals, which capture the beauty, significance, and whimsy of nature.
Michael Aram is highly inspired by his surroundings and often represents objects through his sculpture that might otherwise be overlooked in the everyday. Nature is his biggest muse, as is the handmade process. Although most recognized for his signature metal gift and tabletop offerings, he also designs large-scale sculptures, furniture, lighting, home fragrance, textiles, porcelain, and fine jewelry.
“For me, there is inherent symbolic meaning in my choice of motifs and materials,” explains Aram. “Nature offers limitless design inspiration. My vision is to share the gift of nature with my collectors through something personal they can cherish every day.”
