Local favorites Wye Oak have been steadily touring in support of the band’s stellar sixth album, “The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs,” and that long journey on the road will bring them back to Ottobar on Nov. 18.

Anybody who has followed Wye Oak long enough knows vocalist/guitarist Jenn Wasner and percussionist Andy Stack always do right by their former hometown. See also: This documentary-style video and live performance of the song “Watching the Waiting” from when they came through town in 2016 following the release “Tween,” but also to celebrate the duo’s decade-long existence.
It’s worth noting the show is two days after the experimental duo Wume plays an album release show at the Ottobar, making this November weekend an exceptional one to support local music.
