Lunchtime in Linthicum is about to become more Italian, as Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar celebrates the opening of its newest location on June 19. They’re welcoming the first 100 patrons through their doors with free sandwiches for a year.

The restaurant is opening its first restaurant in the Baltimore area, located at 996 Corporate Blvd. in Linthicum Heights. The opening celebration tailgate begins at 5:30 a.m. on June 19 for the early risers into the sunrise party atmosphere.

Doors open to the first 100 tailgaters around 10 a.m., with the restaurant opening to the public at 11 a.m.

Those early tailgaters will be treated to samples of Primanti Bros.’ expanded menu, which includes pizza, burgers, wings, and the restaurant’s iconic “Almost Famous” sandwich.

There will also be games, a DJ, and giveaways. The first 100 tailgaters become the location’s first customers through the doors, and lifetime members of the Linthicum 100 Club – a status which entitles them to a year’s supply of free sandwiches at the Linthicum location.

“People have been emailing, calling and asking us to bring Primanti Bros. to Baltimore for years,” said Adam Golomb, CEO of Primanti Bros. “We’re excited to be making it happen and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by giving away a ton of food.”

Primanti Bros. first became a dining institution in 1933 in Pittsburgh. Its “Almost Famous” sandwich is two slices of Italian bread with a choice of grilled meat, Provolone cheese, secret recipe sweet-and-sour slaw, fresh-cut fries, and two tomato slices. The Linthicum location is a full-service restaurant, boasting a huge stainless-steel bar, a TV wall, and an expanded menu including wings, pizza, sandwiches, and salads.

“Listen, we know how to throw a party,” Golomb said. “And we can’t wait to continue to be a spot for good times – awesome deals on beer, big portions and really great prices. For more than 90 years it’s what we’ve done. And we’re committed to keeping that tradition going here.”
