Remfest 2024 has announced the details of its family-oriented festival, packed with fun activities, food and drink, and live music for all to enjoy.

Set to take place on Saturday, May 11, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Remington Avenue between 27th and 29th streets, the day will feature over 80 local vendors and non-profits along with the array of food options and music.

Remfest is designed to bring the Remington community together to explore crafts, services, and community projects. The food scene will offer choices from local eateries, including Doppio Pasticceria, Fishnet, Local Oyster, Emmanuellas Cuisine, Big Softy, Elevated Kitchen, Sweet 27, and Ekiben. Beer will be available from Peabody Heights Brewing and cocktails will be available courtesy of R. Bar inside R. House.

Vendors include Gogo’s fashion bus, wine collective, personal best ceramics, maxi cif designs, yes please vintage, Yamah and co, and more. A new feature of Remfest this year is the “Remington Local” area, which will highlight local businesses from Remington. There will also be many non-profit and community organizations throughout the festival streets.

As far as music goes, attendees will hear sounds of local and regional bands thanks to booking by the Ottobar and Monozine Presents!. The lineup includes Moral, The Bali Lamas, Twings, Amy Reid, Glorian, Bedlam Brass Band, Patterson Trash, Javi Vera, Shelby Morgan, Alex Silva, Cowabunga Pizza Time, Outcalls, and DJ Mills.

Also new this year at Remfest 2024 is the Family Stage, featuring kid-friendly acts like Kevin Sherry, Greedy Reads, MissionFit, and Super Art Fight, making Remfest a perfect outing for the whole family.

“We can’t wait to party with you and your family! ,” said Corey Jennings, President of the Greater Remington Improvement Association. “Remfest 2024 is more than just a festival; it’s a reflection of our vibrant community spirit and a celebration of local talent and entrepreneurship.”

The first Remfest was held in 2017, followed by events in 2018, 2019, and 2022. Remfest was postponed in 2023 due to scheduling conflicts with Artscape 2023, which was held Sept. 22 to 24. In March 2023, Remfest organizers announced that the festival would return this spring on May 11. Artscape is going to be held in early August 2024.

The festival is presented by the Greater Remington Improvement Association, an independent, resident-based neighborhood association that works to retain Remington’s diversity, vibrancy, and community connectedness.
