The Hotel Revival Baltimore is bringing back “The Remedy” workshop series upon receiving overwhelming demand for its return.
The wellness sessions will focus on growth, legacy, and identity, guided by mental health coach Jasmine Garland. She’ll invite participants to explore these emotional themes in an interpersonal setting.
The returning sessions address personal purpose, intergenerational legacy, and fostering identity. Garland will guide “an enriching and immersive experience tailored to lead individuals on a profound journey of emotional impact,” according to the hotel’s description.
“It’s my pleasure to help lead The Remedy in its upcoming forms,” Garland said. “Building on the momentum from our previous sessions, we hope to dive into challenging topics in a space where all attendees feel supported.”
The sessions will take place on Wednesday, April 17; Wednesday, May 15; and Wednesday, June 12.
The first workshop, “Path of Purpose: Planting, Nurturing, Blossoming,” aims to help attendees set off on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Participants will be encouraged to explore their life’s purpose and set goals, or simply find the inspiration to take steps towards those goals. The workshop will provide tools to help them bring their dreams to fruition. This workshop is on Wednesday, April 17.
The second workshop, “From Generation to Generation: The Powerful Legacies of Our Mothers,” explores the profound impact of mothers and mother figures on our community. Matriarchs will share the richness of their life stories, impart wisdom, celebrate the strength and lessons they’ve learned and passed down through generations. This workshop will take place in a space of support and healing, personal growth and legacy-building. The date is Wednesday, May 15.
The third workshop, “Beyond He and She: The World of Gender Identity & Pronouns,” travels the evolving landscape of gender identity and expression. Attendees will explore the critical role pronouns play in affirming a person’s identity. The workshop will offer an open and respectful space for people to learn the significance of pronouns in recognizing and validating individuals and their experiences. By focusing on embracing the diversity of identities, facilitators hope attendees learn the power words have to shape our world, and how to support pronoun changes effectively and with respect. This workshop takes place on Wednesday, June 12.
Each workshop costs $15 to attend. Registration includes access to light fare and a cash bar courtesy of Hotel Revival’s food and beverage team. People interested in attending the returning “The Remedy” series can register by clicking this link.
“Launching The Remedy has been a personal and professional success,” said Briana “Bree” Payne, Hotel Revival’s director of impact. “By giving a safe space to community members, we hope to continue building positive connections and address the relevance of growth, legacy and identity in today’s society.”
The Remedy is one of Hotel Revival’s initiatives supporting the health of its surrounding community, prioritizing a space that is inclusive and welcoming to all. The hotel launches a number of curated programming and events to that end, including workshops, conversations, art pop-ups, and spirit-free cocktail tastings. This series of wellness workshops like The Remedy is an example of the hotel supporting the community wherever the need may be.
