As the saying goes: cold hands, warm hearts. Despite the frigid temperatures, Baltimore is full of love — love for friends, family, romantic partners, and certainly our charming city.

Seven Guitars, ongoing through Sunday, Feb. 1, Spotlighters Theatre. In August Wilsonโ€™s play โ€œSeven Guitars,โ€ the funeral of one of the playโ€™s main characters sandwiches a series of flashbacks. An aspiring blues musician, an ailing old man, and three single women each navigate the struggles of Black Americans and the search for meaning in the post-war poverty of 1940s Pittsburgh.

The Shark is Broken, ongoing through Sunday, Feb. 1, Vagabond Players. The play provides a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the movie โ€œJaws,โ€ which celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The Great Gatsby, ongoing through Saturday, Feb. 7, Hippodrome Theatre. Based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald book of the same name, โ€œThe Great Gatsbyโ€ follows a millionaire in the Roaring 20s yearning for his former lover, who is now married to someone else.

Big Bang Baby by LUSMERLIN, ongoing Sunday, March 15, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Rouse Company Foundation Gallery. Rooted in African and Caribbean Native cosmologies, this immersive, free public art exhibition will be on display at Howard Community Collegeโ€™s Horowitz Visual & Performing Arts Center.

Rock of Ages, ongoing through Sunday, March 15, Tobyโ€™s Dinner Theatre. A โ€œsmall town girl living in a lonely worldโ€ and a โ€œcity boy, born and raised in South Detroitโ€ fall for each other in this musical full of music from the 1980s.

Week of Feb. 1 through Feb. 8

Vision Board Brunch, Sunday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Baltimore Unity Hall. One month into 2026, are you happy with how the year is turning out so far? Whether you’re looking to make a change or maintain your current momentum, chart the path you desire by creating a vision board. Supplies will be provided, but you can also bring any scissors or magazines you want to use or share with others.

Tamale Workshop, Sunday, Feb. 1, 12 p.m., Breath of God Lutheran Church. Learn the recipe and technique for making tamales. Afterwards, eat homemade tamales and take home leftovers.

Echoes of Motown, Sunday, Feb. 1, 3 p.m., Morgan State University, Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center. Enjoy performances of poetry, spoken word, and dance, combined with Motown music by artists like The Four Tops, The Temptations, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and more.

Rachmaninoff & Shostakovich, Sunday, Feb. 1, 3 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. BSO Music Director Jonathon Heyward pairs Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 4, performed by Denis Kozhukhin, with Shostakovich’s Fourth Symphony.

Pagan Roots of Late Winter Holidays, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 6 p.m., Section 771. Larissa โ€œKatโ€ Tracy, a medieval literature scholar, author of books on the Middle Ages, and visiting assistant teaching professor of English at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will talk about how late winter holidays are rooted in Pagan traditions, from Valentineโ€™s Day to Mardi Gras. This is part of the Profs & Pints lecture series.

Baltimore Crankie Fest, Thursday, Feb. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 8, Creative Alliance. Enjoy this festival dedicated to the wonder of scrolled panoramas, or “crankies.” In addition to the in-person performances, virtual tickets are also available.

Disney on Ice: Frozen & Encanto, Thursday, Feb. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 8, CFG Bank Arena. From the kingdom of Arendelle to the Madrigal family’s Casita, enjoy stories about family and finding one’s inner power as characters from Disney’s “Frozen” and “Encanto” perform on the ice.

The Science of Curiosity, Thursday, Feb. 5, 6 p.m., Guilford Hall Brewery. In this installment of the Profs & Pints Baltimore lecture series, learn about what makes us crave knowledge. The talk will be given by Todd B. Kashdan, a psychology professor and founder of The Well-Being Lab at George Mason University and author of โ€œCurious?โ€ This talk has been rescheduled from Jan. 7.

Words, Wings, and Wine, Friday, Feb. 6, doors open at 7:30 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m., M&T Bank Exchange. Renowned poets Steven Willis and Ayanna Florence will take the stage in this night of spoken word, comedy, live music. Plus, a 2-by-3 feet painting will be created live during the show and raffled off at the end.

Mosaic Mirror Workshop, Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Artist Barbara Svoboda will lead a workshop on how to create a Valentine-themed Pique Assiette (broken china) mosaic mirror frame. Materials will be provided to create a 10-inch square frame, but participants can also bring their personal china pieces to break and incorporate into their frame if they want to.

Troubled Tributary: Marylandโ€™s Patuxent River, Saturday, Feb. 7, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET). Join IMET for a special film screening and panel discussion, featuring Fred Tutman (Patuxent Riverkeeper), Vernice Miller Travis (Environmental Justice Pioneer), and Cari Harris (Founder of Greater Baltimore Climate Summit).

Jeppson’s Birthday Party – A BARCS Fundraiser, Saturday, Feb. 7, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Peabody Heights Brewery. Celebrate Peabody Heights Brewery’s worker cat, Jeppi’s birthday with beers, Malort, and animal themed vendors! Adoptable animals will be at the brewery from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 10% of drinks sales will support BARCS.

Trevor Noah, Saturday, Feb. 7, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Comedian, author, and former “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah will take the stage at the Lyric.

Ashanti, Saturday, Feb. 7, 8 p.m., Nevermore Hall. Grammy Award-winning singer Ashanti will perform in Baltimore at Nevermore Hall.

Sex Ed Pop Up, Saturday, Feb. 7, 1โ€“5 p.m., Timbre. The Sex Ed Pop Up is a premier adult sex education experience filled with music, vendors, demos, workshops and art. Brainchild of Vanessa Geffrard, a Baltimore-based sexual health educator with nearly 20 years of experience. This event is designed for people who are interested in asking questions in a safe and non-judgmental environment, leaning more deeply into pleasure, trying to add to their sexual repertoire, and more. Galentineโ€™s Day Flamingle Brunch, Sunday, Feb. 8, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Maryland Zoo. Get your best gals together for a fun afternoon at the zoo inspired by the Roaring Twenties. The event will feature a brunch buffet sponsored by Miss Shirley’s Cafe; an open bar with spiked seltzers, beer, wine, soft drinks and mimosas; drag and burlesque performances; jazz music; a fortune teller; crafts; a flower bouquet bar; and more.

History Ablaze: Calamity in Baltimore, Sunday, Feb. 8, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., The Fire Museum of Maryland. Tour the museum, chat with expert staff, and learn about the 1904 fire that raged for two days, destroying more than 1,500 buildings. Advance ticket sales only.

Week of Feb. 9 through Feb. 15

Ashley Bennett presents “Muscles and Monsters”, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 7 p.m., Greedy Reeds, Remington. Celebrate the release of Baltimore author Ashley Bennett’s romance novel, “Muscles and Monsters”, where she will be in conversation with romance author Clio Evans! Moms Unhinged Standup Comedy Show, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 7 p.m., M&T Bank Exchange. Is your mother a little unhinged (in the best of ways)? Laugh along with these comedy moms as they explore topics including motherhood, midlife crisis, marriage, divorce, online dating, and more. The show will feature stand-up comedians Jene’ Suplee, Lindsay Porter, and headliner Amy Brown. Their comedy is described as “clean (ish),” containing adult themes and language, so this show is recommended for attendees age 18 or older.

Peabody Symphony Orchestra Concert, Thursday, Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute presents the annual Peabody Symphony Orchestra Concert in memory of Steven Muller.

Valentine’s Classic Soul, Friday, Feb. 13, doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. This evening of soul music will include The Whispers, Evelyn โ€œChampagneโ€ King, and The Blue Notes featuring Tony Brooks.

Mortified Baltimore Doomed Valentineโ€™s 2026, Friday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m. & 9:30 p.m., Creative Alliance. Experience the pain and awkwardness of first loves, first kisses, and first breakups as everyday adults share their most embarrassingly real teenage love themed diary entries, poems, love letters, lyrics, and locker notesโ€ฆin front of total strangers.

Grown Up Field Trip: Cupidโ€™s Lab, Friday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Maryland Science Center. Enjoy an evening of drinks, science, and laughter as you play your way through exhibits, kid-free, and take on our Valentine’s themed science experiments and games.

Reimagined: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Friday, Feb. 13, 8 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons will be fused with the music of Earth, Wind & Fire in this concert featuring Nu Deco Ensemble’s Jacomo Bairos and violinist Kristin Lee.

Nevermore, My Valentine: a tour of Edgar Allen Poe’s Baltimore, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Baltimore Visitor Center. Attend a bus tour, go on a candlelight visit to the historic Carroll Mansion with a glass of vino, and listen to a reading at Poeโ€™s grave.

Roots and Resonance: An Operatic Love Letter to Baltimore, Saturday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m., Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. This event opens with a moderated panel of scholars, archivists, and performers, including music-related artifacts from the Lewis Museum. Through conversation and music, the panel will examine themes of tradition, support, tension, and solidarity between the Black and Jewish communities. Sex at the Zoo, Saturday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Maryland Zoo. The animal kingdom gets busy too! Learn about animal courtship, wildlife matchmaking, and more at this intellectually stimulating event. There will be an open bar, gourmet food, rich desserts, live music by Jazz Caravan, and appearances by some of the zooโ€™s animal residents.

A Date With John Waters, Saturday, Feb. 14, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Baltimore’s resident “Pope of Trash” John Waters will take the stage in his one-man show. The event is open to people age 18 or older.

The Second Saturday S#!T Show feat. Matt Dundas, Saturday, Feb. 14, doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m., Ottobar. Join host Mike Quindlen for a night of stand up comedy featuring Matt Dundas, Chris Blackwood, Paula Sangeleer, Sandhya Ganesh, and Caitlin Austin.

RENT in Concert, Saturday, Feb. 14, 8 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Hear the sounds from the hit musical “Rent” performed live.

Flights of Fancy, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., In the Dark Circus Arts. The circus performance company and school offers a unique experience blending cirque, wine, and food. Performers will choose the wine to be paired with food provided by Culinary Architecture. Live music sets the tone at this gathering to celebrate love, beauty, and all things fancy.

Tats for Tails, Sunday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Baltimore Tattoo Museum. Get tatted for a good cause. All proceeds from each tattoo done at the event (including selected designs or at the artistsโ€™ discretion) will be donated to help animals in need of homes at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS). Tips for your tattoo artist are also encouraged.

The Sweet Spot Burlesque, Sunday, Feb. 15, 5 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. The Sweet Spot is marking 20 years of burlesque with a night of performances, games, and a chance to win prizes. The event is open to people age 21 or older.

Dancing with the Stars: Live! 2026 Tour, Thursday, Feb. 19, 7:30 p.m., Hippodrome Theatre. You’ve seen their dazzling dance moves on television’s “Dancing with the Stars” competition show. Now, watch them live. Special guests will join pro dancers Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Jenna Johnson, Pasha Pashkov, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Hailey Bills.

Stoop 20th Anniversary, Friday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m., Creative Alliance. Celebrate 20 years of the Stoop Storytelling Series as storytellers share their tales from the lives.

K-Pop Demon Hunters Party, Saturday, Feb. 21, doors open at 12:30 p.m., show starts at 1:30 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. After the first show sold out, a second one has been added. Fans of the hit animated movie “K-Pop Demon Hunters” will be able to enjoy choreographed dance performances to songs like “Golden” and “Your Idol,” as well as singers performing ballads “What it Sounds Like” and “Free.” The show will feature the 16-member K-Pop dance group Konnect DMV, plus movie trivia, costume contests with prizes, and more.

Artfirmations, Saturday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Artist Beezy Young will lead this workshop combining affirmation writing and art making. Space is limited and the event is open to people age 16 or older.

Lunar New Year Celebration, Saturday, Feb. 21, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Peabody Heights Brewery. Celebrate Lunar New Year with Year of the Fire Horse Beer, Lion Dancers, Drag, Korean American Fusion Cuisine, Mini Market, and more.

Lucy Darling, Saturday, Feb. 21, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Witty magician Lucy Darling, portrayed by award-winning performer Carisa Hendrix, will bring the laughter when she performs in her “Simply Darling” show at the Lyric.

The Big Three Anime Rave, Saturday, Feb. 21, 9 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. This anime-themed rave will feature cosplay, vide games, a cash prize, and a power up contest. The event is open to people age 18 and older.

La Vida Loca, Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The La Vida Loca concert will celebrates the ’90s and ’00s Latin pop music of artists including Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Santana, Ricky Martin, and more.

Back to the Future, Tuesday, Feb. 24, through Sunday, March 1, Hippodrome Theatre. When Marty McFly travels back in time to 1955, he accidentally changes history โ€” including his own family. He must set things right in the past in order to live to see his present and future. The โ€œBack to the Futureโ€ musical features songs from the beloved 1985 sci-fi film it is based upon, as well as some new songs crafted specially for the stage show.

The Rite of Spring (EARTH | Songs), Thursday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, March 1, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. BSO Principal Percussionist Edouard Beyens will perform a percussion concerto as part of the EARTH | Songs Festival.

The Hank Entwisle Band and the Morgan State University Choir, Saturday, Feb. 28, 8 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Living Classrooms Foundation presents this concert featuring The Hank Entwisle Band and the Morgan State University Choir.

Brewbit 4, Saturday, Feb. 28 & Sunday, March 1, Peabody Heights Brewery. Baltimoreโ€™s biggest gaming convention returns for two days of gaming, beer, vendors, food, and a full-blown arcade with over 120 games, all set to free play!

โ€˜Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3, Saturday, Feb. 28, 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., Hippodrome Theatre. In this comedic show that calls upon audience participation, a nun offers lessson on the Sacraments of Marriage and the Last Rites.

Top of the Morning, Saturday, Feb. 28, 9 a.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Enjoy good vibes and sounds by Mr. Incredible, Superstar DJ TAF, Gutta Dane, and Dayy J as you celebrate the start of the CIAA basketball tournament weekend. This event is for people ages 21 and older.

112 30th Reunion Tour, Saturday, Feb. 28, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m, Lyric Baltimore. R&B group 112 is coming to Baltimore on their 30th anniversary reunion tour. The show will feature hip-hop trio The Lox and singer Case.
