Shoppers at the Howard Park ShopRite have the chance to win a Grocery Sweep this fall, as Klein’s Family Markets is bringing back one of its most anticipated community events.
On Oct. 16, at 10 a.m., Klein’s will bring a Grocery Sweep to Howard Park ShopRite with three winners getting the chance to race through the store to fill their carts with as many groceries as they can before time runs out. The Grocery Sweep has become a favorite event of shoppers because in addition to the excitement of the contest, it is a celebration of the community.
“We’re excited to bring the Grocery Sweep to our Howard Park location and make this year’s event even more memorable by selecting three winners,” said Marshall Klein, president of Klein’s Family Markets. “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and events like this are our way of thanking the communities that have supported our family business for generations.”
Klein’s Family Markets is a nine-store ShopRite Supermarket company and a member company of Wakefern, the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative. It has been in the Baltimore metro area since 1925 with six stores in Harford County, two in Baltimore County, and one in Baltimore City.
This is the first time the Grocery Sweep event is being held in Baltimore. The three winners will have 60 seconds to grab as many groceries as they want. During the event, there will be food vendors on site and community members are invited to attend. Klein’s Family Markets will also donate the value of groceries collected to three local charities.
Customers interested in participating in the Grocery Sweep can enter the contest at the Klein’s Family Market website. ShopRite of Howard Park is located at 4601 Liberty Heights Avenue, Gwynn Oak.
