Marcus Dieterle is the managing editor of Baltimore Fishbowl, telling the stories of communities across the Baltimore region. Marcus helped lead the team to win a Best of Show award for Website of General Excellence from the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association in 2022. He previously served as deputy editor of the Cecil Whig newspaper in Elkton, Maryland, where he covered education, arts & entertainment, and local government. Marcus is a Maryland native and a graduate of Towson University, where he studied journalism and political science and served as editor-in-chief of The Towerlight student newspaper. He lives in northeast Baltimore with his husband and their cats. When he isn’t working, he enjoys baking, gardening, hiking, and restoring their 1920s-era home.
