Baltimore’s superrich once again got richer over the last year. Kevin Plank and Steve Bisciotti once again climbed on the 2016 Forbes list of billionaires.
Plank, the founder of Under Armour, clocked in at a net worth of $3.2 billion, up from an even $3 billion in October. That’s good for a jump of 50 spots to a rank of No. 527 in the world. Despite his own big personal investment in Baltimore real estate in Port Covington, that’s only expected to keep climbing as Under Armour treks toward its goal of becoming a $10 billion company by 2020.
Bisciotti, who owns the Ravens and also has “outsourcing” listed as a source of wealth, is worth $3 billion, up from $2.7 billion last year. He jumped from No. 690 on the list in 2015 to No. 569 in the world this year.
Despite his efforts to give money away, Forbes reports that Bill Gates is still really rich. He has $75 billion, and retains the No. 1 ranking.
