Baltimoreans have one of the longest workweeks in the country once commuting times are factored in, according to Forbes.
Residents of Baltimore spend an average of 47.25 hours each week either working or traveling to and from work. That makes us less workaholic than those crazy New Yorkers (who average 49.08 hour workweeks), but well above the national average.
Some of that can be blamed on our miserable traffic; according to Forbes, we have the 3rd longest commutes in the country. Another study ranked Maryland dead last (!) among the 50 states for “quick commutes.” Makes working from home sound appealing, doesn’t it?
