After temporarily shutting down this fall, the Baltimore Bike Share is planning to end the year by adding more stations.

According to a member newsletter, nine new stations and an unspecified number of new bikes are set to come online during the month of December.

Leaders were eyeing expansion for the year-old bike share program earlier this year but got delayed by a rash of thefts and maintenance issues which left so few bikes that the whole system to take a pause. Bikes started rolling out again in November, and the bike share’s Twitter account stated all of the docks were reactivated by Dec. 1.

The new installations are set to begin on Friday, Dec. 15, according to the Bikeshare.

Downtown:

• A station will be installed at the Charles Center metro station.
