After temporarily shutting down this fall, the Baltimore Bike Share is planning to end the year by adding more stations.

According to a member newsletter, nine new stations and an unspecified number of new bikes are set to come online during the month of December.

Leaders were eyeing expansion for the year-old bike share program earlier this year but got delayed by a rash of thefts and maintenance issues which left so few bikes that the whole system to take a pause. Bikes started rolling out again in November, and the bike shareโ€™s Twitter account stated all of the docks were reactivated by Dec. 1.

The new installations are set to begin on Friday, Dec. 15, according to the Bikeshare.
