Our senior editor, Steve Babcock, works his last day today.

Steve takes on a larger role at next week, where he has been the lead reporter for several years.  In his nearly three years at Baltimore Fishbowl, Steve wrote over 2,000 posts covering everything from state and city politics, crime, pop culture, community events and more. He was always up for anything, as long as it fit our brand and voice. Before he came to Baltimore Fishbowl, he worked at digital news start-up NOLA Defender, so he has spent much of his professional career working for online publications. He understands what’s needed to succeed in this space and I will miss greatly his advice and wisdom.

We can’t bear to see him go, so we are giving him the title of editor-at-large and hope he will somehow find the time to be back on our scroll.

Steve’s departure means that we are looking for a part-time reporter to write three posts Monday through Friday, some aggregated content, some original reporting.  If you are interested, click here.

Good luck, Steve.  You are always welcome back in the bowl.
