If I ever decided to turn to a life of crime, I imagine that I’d make a point to avoid targeting professional football players. Sure, they’re rich — but they’re also big, and very good at knocking people down. Those concerns apparently didn’t stop a man from carjacking Ravens running back Bernard Pierce in Philadelphia on Sunday night.
According to Pierce’s agent, the football player was grabbing a slice of pizza in a good neighborhood in the middle of the day when an armed man pulled up, robbed Pierce and his friend, and demanded the keys to Pierce’s BMW sports utility vehicle. Philadelphia authorities found the car later that evening.
“They don’t know if it’s even NFL related,” said Marty Magid, Pierce’s agent. “Might just be car related.” Or perhaps a vengeful Eagles fan?
