After a scare this week prompted by the good intentions of three strangers who thought they were “rescuing” Willow by taking him away, Monument City Brewing Company’s staff got their mouse-hunting colleague back on Wednesday. Now, as promised, they’ve put together a party just for him.
Well, sort of. It’s also for BARCS in South Baltimore, which is co-hosting the event tonight at the Southeast Baltimore brewery. They’ll be collecting donations of cat food, litter, collars (“we know,” the brewery noted in the Facebook event, nodding to the fact that Willow didn’t have a collar on when he was taken) and other supplies for the shelter. A portion of all proceeds from the evening will go to BARCS’ trap-neuter-release and Working Cat programs.
Monument is also celebrating Willow’s return with a release of another batch (the last one, actually) of its NOBO New England Hazy IPA. For food, Taco Bar Food Truck will be on-site serving until 8 p.m.
5-10 p.m., Monument City Brewing Company, 1 N. Haven St., (443) 529-8131, free, Facebook event.
