A Florida-based superfoods cafe chain opened its first Maryland location this weekend in Baltimore.
Grain and Berry held a grand opening Saturday for its new shop at 1402 Point St. in Harbor Point.
Customers can purchase superfood bowls, smoothies, juices, toasts, flatbreads, and sandwiches, including many vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free options.
Many of the items on the Grain and Berry menu bare music-inspired names, like the Guac And Roll toast topped with guacamole, cream cheese, mozzarella, tomato and hardboiled egg.
Elvis fans will be delighted to find three items inspired by The King: a chocolate, peanut butter, and banana smoothie (the Healthy Elvis); toast with slices of banana and either peanut butter or Nutella (the Toasted Elvis); and a green juice concoction called the Elvis Parsley, made with kale, parsley, cucumber, celery and lime.
Is your musical taste more in line with the Beatles? Try Here Comes The Sun, a chopped or wrapped salad with sundried tomatoes, feta, mozzarella, hummus, croutons and Balsamic dressing. Or sip on a Strawberry Fields smoothie, a creamy blend of strawberry, banana strawberry protein and almond milk.
If Gloria Estefan is your girl, enjoy the Turn the Beet Around juice with beets, apple, carrot and lemon. Meanwhile, fans of the artist formerly known as Prince might opt for the Purple Rain smoothie, complete with açaí, banana, strawberry, pineapple and almond milk.
Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, Grain and Berry was voted #1 by Tampa Bay Times for Best Bowl in 2018 and 2019. The Orlando Sentinel awarded it Best Chain in 2021.
