The Maryland Zoo is preparing for lots of roaring, but it will be from the humans enjoying a morning of family fun as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kennedy Kriegerโs annual 5K race and fun walk.
Kennedy Krieger encourages a record-breaking number of attendees to โshow off their wild sides for a good causeโ this Saturday, April 20. The ROAR for Kids 5K road race and low-mileage fun walk is in its 20th year, and the Maryland Zoo is a new location for the festivities.
โTwisting by the Zooโs unique inhabitants, including penguins, chimpanzees and lemurs, this annual fundraiser started in 2005 and has raised over $3.5 million to advance programs and research that support children at Kennedy Krieger,โ reads the press release.
