Liza Jarrett, the owner of the women’s clothing boutique Liza Byrd, moves her popular shop from Stevenson Village to the Shops at Kenilworth this Saturday, October 1.
A Baltimore native and RPCS grad, Liza designs virtually all of the attractive and affordable lines in her store, from cut to fabric. Her clothing fills the closets of local fashionistas who appreciate what Liza delivers: styles casual enough to wear to a picnic yet chic enough to wear to dinner and on-trend jewelry and accessories that won’t break the bank. (Liza wears one of her designs in the photo, above.) Stop by the Grand Opening on Saturday, October 1 for special savings, celebration and more!
We caught up with Liza to find out more about the move and learn what’s in store at the new location.
What excites you most about moving to The Shops at Kenilworth?
We are thrilled about our move to Kenilworth and the opportunity to expand our store location in the renovated Shops at Kenilworth. We believe it is the perfect pairing for our brand and the customers who shop there.
How will the new store be different from the one at Stevenson Village?
The new shop will be larger and more centrally located while still providing our same unique products with a flare. Our goal is for our customers to have fun in our store and enjoy their shopping experience in a warm and whimsical environment.
What is your favorite item in the store right now?
This is always a hard question for me because I treat all of the items I create as “my children” choosing a favorite really doesn’t work because I love so many things about each piece be it the fabric, the styling, prints or the trim detail. It’s just too hard to choose!!
What is the hottest seller in your store?
This is actually a four-way tie we have three top styles The Gretchen top, The Eloise Top, and The Avery Tunic that are our customer favorites consistently because of their fit and we offer them in many different color combinations as well as our cowl neck Talia poncho – buttery soft and practical for the change of season.
What item in your store makes a great gift?
Our pearl clover necklace designed for us by a jewelry designer in Miami. This piece is a true statement classic piece that delivers instant joie de vivre to any look. http://lizabyrd.com/the-kristin-large-clover-pearl-necklace/

How do you describe the style of your store?
Our store reflects the love of life and fun behind our brand hoping to always offer our customer, however old she is, unique options to wear from the beach to the cocktail party and everything in between.
