While it doesnโt have the glamour of November’s dumpster dive, Mr. Trash Wheel urges concerned citizens to come to a rally in Annapolis to support Marylandโs Bottle Bill legislation on Friday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m.

Thatโs right, kids, nothing cements love for one another, the planet, and Mr. Trash Wheel like gathering with like-minded Marylanders on Valentineโs Day at Lawyerโs Mall in Annapolis to declare your love for the Maryland Bottle Bill. Join hands and hearts with folks from Waterfront Partnershipโs Healthy Harbor Initiative and their partners to highlight the environmental and economic benefits of the bill, which aims to reduce litter, increase recycling, and create green jobs.
The event will have guest speakers discussing the bottle deposit legislationโs importance and its impact on Maryland communities. State legislators and environmental experts will cheer you on as you bring the love for Mr. Trash Wheel, his family, and Mother Earth.
Bring signs! Bring homemade hats! Show your enthusiasm for critical initiatives like Marylandโs Bottle Bill! After all โ your help, along with Waterfront Partnershipโs ongoing collaboration with its coalition of partners and the community has helped bring about real change! Past legislative successes include bans on plastic bags and polystyrene foam. Community participation plays a critical role in making environmental advocacy so effective.

Sadly, Mr. Trash Wheel is unable to attend, but a part of him โ namely, the contents of his stomach – will be with you. Remember the giant metal rockfish sculpture filled with the plastic bottles volunteers pulled from his innards at Mr. Trash Wheelโs Dumpster Dive last November? That sculpture will be there.
Adam Lindquist, vice president of Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore will also make an appearance, ready to lead everyone in a rousing rendition of the famous Mr. Trash Wheel sing-along song!ย So donโt miss it!
