Union Craft Brewing’s moments of TV fame were short-lived. M&T Bank pulled a spot featuring the Hampden-based brewers after officials discovered an Urban Dictionary entry.

The spot featured the brewery’s founders calling discarded beer cans “nuggets of joy.” A variation mentioned in the commercial referred to “joynuggets.” After the spot began to run over the weekend, someone at M&T Bank found the meaning of Joy Nuggets on Urban Dictionary. (We’ll just leave the entry right here.)

On Wednesday, the bank sent word that the ad was off the air, and Youtube.

According to a blog post on the company’s website, Union’s founders weren’t sure if the spot was ready for prime time when they first recorded it. But now they have a message for the world: “Don’t let #joynuggets die!”
