
An MTA Light Rail train fatally struck a man this morning in the Howard Street corridor, police said.
Baltimore Police Department spokesman T.J. Smith told the media the incident happened about 8:30 a.m. near N. Howard and W. Mulberry streets. The manโs body was dislodged from the southbound train several blocks later at N. Howard and Lexington streets.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the BPDโs Crash Investigation Team and MTA police are still on the scene investigating.
MTAโs public information officer, Paul Shepard, said they were hoping to have full light rail service restored by noon.
