Mini bullet trains will carry plates of sushi at the Shinkansen Sushi restaurant at Baltimore Peninsula.

Restaurant Shinkansen Sushi has signed a 3,138 sq. ft. lease at the Rye House apartment building in Baltimore Peninsula. The business is the latest concept from Maryland restauranteur David Chen.

Chen also owns ‘Akira Ramen & Izakaya’ which has several locations in the Baltimore area, including one in Canton; Japanese restaurant ‘IZAKAYA 68’ in Hunt Valley; and Korean BBQ restaurant ‘Volcano’ in Owings Mills.. 

The menu at Shinkansen Sushi will feature a wide selection of sushi and maki rolls, including classics and specialty creations, as well as Japanese street food-inspired appetizers like karaage and skewers. The beverage menu will include Japanese beers, sake, and soju.
