La Brasita is bringing street-style Latin flavors to Derwood, Maryland.

The restaurant opened in 2020 during the pandemic as a sister spot to La Brasa in Rockville. Co-owner David Campos says the menu is rooted in both heritage and home, featuring a โ€œMaryland pupusaโ€ filled with crab, cheese and Old Bay seasoning.

Campos co-owns the restaurant with his mother, whose family immigrated to the U.S. in the 1980s and built their careers in the restaurant industry.
