Five Weeks of Sticky is upon us. Fells Point sushi spot Sticky Rice is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a series of events aimed at service industry pros and karaoke divas alike. Even gamers get some love.
Some of these events happen every week. They all sound cool in their own right, and Sticky Rice is providing a special twist for the anniversary — hence all the 5s. Here’s the rundown:
Sushi Heaven: I Labored on Labor Day Edition (Sept. 8) Workers and first responders get 50 percent off sushi, and prizes are doled out every five minutes.
Warfare Wednesday (Sept. 16) Gamers get together for five minute sudden death rounds, and get access to $5 drink specials. Andrew Wayne Johnson of indie band Have Mercy hosts.
First-Class Blingo (Sept. 23) “First-generation Sticky Rice Baltimore will reunite for one night of old-school hijinks, shenanigans, and speed BLINGO.” Five rounds of five questions with five prizes up for grabs.
Karaoke Bash (Oct 2.) Rachel Anne Warren of PLRLS hosts the party for karaoke lovers from around Baltimore.
Fifth Anniversary Dance Party (Oct. 10) The big soiree to send up the celebration. DJ Cian Noteman provides the tunes, some of which will come from five-song mixes submitted by Sticky Rice customers.
