The Mt. Vernon Place Conservancy, who are hot off their recent finds in the Washington Monument, is kicking off Summer Entertainment in the Squares tonight with a free swing dance workshop. The group will feature programming every Thursday night through Labor Day, and music is scheduled for the rest of the month.
The weekend will also feature activity. They’re offering free yoga on Saturday mornings. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, head out on a walking around Mt. Vernon. On the first Sunday of the month, a cultural walk starts near the monument and heads all the way to the harbor.
