The most popular story on Baltimore Fishbowl this week concerned a change in the guard for the Gilman School’s board of trustees. Mark Fetting, formerly chairman and CEO of investment management firm Legg Mason, will become the head of the school’s board of trustees on July 1, 2018, according to an announcement from the school.

Fetting graduated from Gilman in 1972, and is a parent of graduates from the 2000 and 2005 classes. He previously served as a trustee from 1997 to 2009.

He’ll take over for the board as it appoints seven new members and says goodbye to two next July.
