Major League Baseball owners are meeting this week, and while commissioner Rob Manfred has the power to unilaterally order the implementation of new “pace of game” rules, he’s reportedly going to wait to see if he can reach agreement with the MLB Players Association on the changes.

Under Armour Announces Deal to Make the MLB’s Game-Worn Uniforms

It’s been a big year for Kevin Plank, and not just because his development firm been given the nod to transform an entire section of South Baltimore for decades to come. Plank’s Locust Point-based global sportswear brand today confirmed reports from six weeks ago that it’s signed a 10-year licensing deal to make Major League Baseball’s game-worn uniforms.

In a major play for the city’s fastest-growing athletic performance apparel and footwear company, Under Armour has agreed to make the uniforms worn by the MLB’s players.

The sports merchandising machine apparently calculated that the chance to get a “game-used” jersey from the O’s appearance in the Wild Card game would be appealing to fans. Trouble is, Britton did not appear in the game and it still stings.
