The holiday season brings memories of Mariah Carey’s time at the peak of pop, as “All I Want for Christmas is You” blares over the speakers at shops and parties. This time, Mariah will be on Baltimore’s lips well into the New Year.

Event goers often wonder where their ticket fees go. In the case of Baltimore Arena attendees over a recent two-year period, the fees are going back to the public. A class action lawsuit that alleged improper ticket fees at Royal Farms Arena was settled.
It was about 3 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena, and 10 Cirque du Soleil performers were onstage. They weren’t in costume, and a chummy vibe prevailed as two guns sat on a giant swing chatting, and another two worked on a lift into handstand for a few minutes. Several languages seemed to be spoken. But every few minutes, the attention focused Stage Left.
