Congratulations to the School of the Cathedral’s Chess Team, who earned first place at the McDonogh tournament this past weekend in the Elementary Novice division, just behind Bobby Locke’s 4th place individual performance of 3 wins. It was a real team effort as all players scored at least 1 point. Also, Owen Woolley won “best in class”, awarded to the strongest performance for a player rated under 200 in his section with 2 wins. Another notable performance was Alessandro D’Alessio earning 3 points and tying for 5th place in HS/MS Intermediate.
