Open wide: It’s the Week in Review for May 1-8, 2015.

Baltimore continued to be on national TV, leading to the inevitable commentary from satirical late night hosts. Saturday Night Live and John Oliver each turned in send-ups last week. In TV IRL news, the real Olivia Pope came to Baltimore.

But Baltimore’s troubles will outlast the news cycle. That’s because of deep-seated issues, like the city’s lack of income mobility.

At the West Baltimore intersection where the country watched a CVS burn, one developer already sees opportunity.
