Artscape 2026 is taking place on Memorial Day weekend, and Baltimore Fishbowl is providing all the information you need on artists, activites and food for one of Baltimore’s premier events, scheduled for Saturday May 23 and Sunday May 24 throughout Downtown Baltimore.

SCOUT ART FAIR

Scout Art Fair is designed to make the world of art collecting affordable and accessible, while supporitng local artists who may be launching their careers.

Artscape announced in March that hometown photographer Devin Allen will curate the Scout Art Fair, with Cierra Britton as assistant curator. Exhibiting artists have been announced. There will be 33 solo artist booths and seven gallery booths with artwork priced between $150 and $5,000. Part of the proceeds will benefit Create Baltimore programs.

Artists include sisters Hope and Faith McCorkle, photographer Joe Giordano, open-water swimmer Katie Pumphrey, Jess Owens-Young, and more. Participating galleries include Heather Grey Gallery, Current Space, and more.

ARTISTSโ€™ MARKET

The Artistsโ€™ Market is a juried marketplace which this year will have nearly 100 artists, artisans, and makers with their original art. It will take place under the JFX at Hillen and E. Saratoga Streets. The Literary Arts & Prints section of the Artistsโ€™ Market will be on the 200 block of Holliday Street.

โ€œSince the festivalโ€™s inception, the Artistsโ€™ Market has been the trademark element of Artscape,โ€ said Barbara Hauck, director of Arts Council Programming. โ€œThis unique marketplace showcases an incredible variety of disciplines, techniques and materials, and with the diversity of this yearโ€™s participating artists, I know that everyone will find a piece theyโ€™ll want to take home.โ€

The market includes an Emerging Artists program, making it easier for up-and-coming artists to participate in the marketplace and for the public to see their work. From a group of applicants, ten emerging artists were chosen for a free booth in the Artistsโ€™ Market.

FOOD VENDORS

Local food trucks and festival tents will offer a range of flavors ad cuisines to satisfy cravings of all sorts. Festival-goers can choose from African, Asian Fusion, Creole, and more, while also enjoying seafood, barbeque, hot dogs, deli, and smoothies. Dessert options will never be far away.

Baltimoreโ€™s Chef Cat is curating the Flavor Lab and invited local home chefs to take the stage with her for some cooking demonstrations, too.
