The first flight from Baltimoreโ€™s airport to Havana took off Wednesday, making BWI one of only a few airports to offer flights to Cuba.

The nonstop service to the Cuban capital is being booked through Island Travel & Tours and operated by Swift Air. The flight will head out once a week on Wednesday.

BWI is one of 19 airports nationwide to offer the service. The flights come as a result of President Barack Obama made a decision to re-establish diplomatic relations with Cuba.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the flights are starting at $649, and are only expected to increase. So while it may be cool to be among the first Americans to visit Cuba in generations, itโ€™s not exactly the budget trip to Iceland that Wow Air is offering.
