Baltimore by Baltimore, the music and maker festival series, returns to the Inner Harbor Amphitheater on June 1 and will run through Oct. 5.

Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore produces the series which takes place on the first Saturday of the month for five months over the summer and through the start of fall.

โ€œWeโ€™re incredibly excited to shine a spotlight and continue to amplify the amazing talent of Baltimore,โ€ said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore. โ€œAs we embark on our third year of Baltimore by Baltimore, weโ€™re thrilled to welcome our new producers for 2024 and build upon the success of our past producers as we celebrate the local creativity and artistry that makes our city so unique.โ€

Each of the five all-day festivals begin at noon and end at 8 p.m. The Inner Harbor serves as the backdrop for Baltimoreโ€™s leading artists, makers, creatives, and musicians showcasing the Cityโ€™s diversity and talent. Every monthโ€™s festival will be curated by a different emerging local professional producer who will choose the artists and makers in their network to โ€œfill the Inner Harbor with locally produced goods, music, art and food, and amplify the vibrant and inspiring arts and culture community in Baltimore,โ€ according to the press release.

Producer, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Maya Gilmore produces June 1โ€™s kick-off festival with the theme โ€œBaltimoreโ€™s in the House,โ€ celebrating 40 years of House music in Baltimore. The lineup will feature DJs, producers, and artists who have impacted Baltimoreโ€™s music scene, including DJ Biskit, DJ Oji, DJ Pope, Sheri Booker, Fatal Attraction Step Squad and more.

โ€œIโ€™m thrilled to be starting this yearโ€™s season out with a bang with our celebration of House music in Charm City,โ€ Gilmore said. โ€œBaltimore has a huge House music scene and Iโ€™m excited to be a part of amplifying it even more this year at Baltimore by Baltimore.โ€

The remaining festival daysโ€™ producers are:

  • July 6: Produced by Baltimore-based clawhammer banjoist Brad Kolodner, the festival will be a celebration of Baltimoreโ€™s vibrant acoustic roots music soundscape featuring fiddles and banjos, songwriters, instrumentalists, and percussive dance along with square dancing.
  • Aug. 10: Produced by John Tyler, founder of Baltimoreโ€™s Love Groove Festival, the festival is called โ€œGroove in the Cityโ€ and will focus on showcasing young performing and visual artists.
