Balvenie

Do you love Scotch? Or just want to learn more about it? Here is your chance to have a tasting class led by Balvenie’s international brand ambassador David Laird right here in Baltimore – this weekend. As part of the American Craft Council show at the Convention Center for the fourth year in a row, Balvenie is in town.

During the 45 minute long seated, private class, guests will taste four Balvenie Scotches – DoubleWood 12 year, Caribbean Cask 14 year, DoubleWood 17 year and PortWood 21 year. Laird will lead you through each one, tell you more about the folks who carry out each part of the painstaking process of creating Balvenie in the Scottish Highlands and also will entertain you a bit, too. He is quite charming – you’ll enjoy his presentation for sure.

Here is a video to give you an idea as to the craftsmanship that goes into Balvenie Scotch Whisky. I learned so much in just 45 minutes in this tasting – highly recommend it, especially for those relatively new to Scotch, like me.

There is no charge for the Balvenie Whisky Experience. Just sign up at the Balvenie booth. And after the tasting, head to Union Craft Brewing’s booth nearby to taste some deliciousness made right here in B’more.
