Baltimore: The City of Accessible Arts (BCAA) invites you to its second annual public convening at Enoch Pratt Free Library.
Baltimore: The City of Accessible Arts (BCAA) invites you to its second annual public convening at Enoch Pratt Free Library’s Central Library. This year’s convening will unpack How Are We ABLE To ACCESS Art???
This accessible, hybrid gathering builds on the momentum of last year’s convening and brings together artists, cultural organizations, and disability communities to explore how Baltimore can continue growing as a more inclusive and accessible arts city. The convening will feature an artist talk, facilitated dialogue, and opportunities for connection and exchange. All are welcome. Accessibility features include ASL interpretation, live captioning, audio description, visual descriptions, and sensory supports. Families and children are encouraged to attend

Variations on Silence – Baltimore’s 22nd annual ten-minute play festival

The winning theme of last year’s audience vote was SILENCE! Join us for a select group of world premiere ten-minute plays by local authors, and vote to pick the theme for the 2027 Variations Project. Janis Hannon directs.
Performed live on stage at Strand Theater, 5426 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214. Tickets are general admission, $25. A special discounted “Industry Night” performance is just $15, on Monday, July 13. There will also be a $10 preview performance on Thursday, July 9.

Young Blood Revisited: MICA Bicentennial | Opening Reception

As part of MICA’s 200th Anniversary, MAP will proudly be presenting new works created by MICA alumni who had previously exhibited in Youngblood. Each year following graduation, Maryland Art Place’s (MAP’s) Executive Leadership and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) curates Young Blood, an annual exhibition of works by recent Baltimore-area Masters of Fine Art graduates.
Since 2008, Young Blood has showcased recent MFA graduates from Baltimore-area institutions, bringing together artists from diverse programs to exhibit work from their thesis projects. The exhibition serves as an important platform for emerging artists, providing visibility, critical engagement, and professional recognition. Over the past 18 years, Young Blood has featured 124 artists from institutions including MICA, UMBC, Towson University, the University of Maryland, and Goucher College. Join us on Thursday, July 9, to celebrate a selection of MICA alumni whose work has been part of this long standing program.
