Garden and Gun is a magazine of the South. Being a media publication, they must partake in some form of March Madness promotion. But, being, as we mentioned, in the South, they’re more inclined for pigskin than basketball. So, they turned to barbecue, and are allowing joints from places like Baltimore in the bracket.
Route 40’s own Chaps Pit Beef earned a bid to the G&G Ultimate Barbecue Bracket. They may call It Pit Beef rather than BBQ, but we’ll venture that Chaps can compete with anyone. With the gentlemen’s club next door, they have the intangibles column locked.
The first round opponent is Lexington Barbecue of North Carolina.
