The Waldorf School of Baltimore is inviting children and their families to enjoy an array of music during its KidStock April Community Concert Series.
The series takes place over three consecutive weekends in April for audiences of all ages, filled with Grammy Award-winning family artists, nature crafts, food, and community spirit.
Each concert will begin with performances by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Peabody Youth Ensemble, showcasing the incredible musical talent in Baltimore’s community.
In addition to the concerts, families can enjoy hands-on crafts and activities inspired by nature, encouraging creativity, and fostering connection. The list of activity includes:
- Interactive Drumming Circle with Stages Music Arts
- Flower Crowns
- Facepainting
- Spring Fairy Trail
- Gem Mining
- Nature Scavenger Hunt
- Pollinator Seed Ball Making with UMD Master Gardeners
The concert series line-up is as follows:
April 13 – Sonia De Los Santos: Fusion of Latin American rhythms and North American folk traditions with Sonia De Los Santos, a Latin Grammy® nominated artist whose music has been celebrated by Billboard as essential listening for families.
April 21 – Fyütch: Grammy-nominated artist Fyütch weaves together Hip-Hop, spoken word, and visual storytelling to inspire racial equity and self-love.
April 28 – Dan and Claudia Zanes: Let Grammy award-winning performer Dan Zanes, alongside Haitian-American music therapist and jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes, deliver soulful modern-day folk music.
All concert events take place from noon to 3:00 pm at the Waldorf School of Baltimore, located at 4801 Tamarind Road, Baltimore, Maryland.
The Waldorf School originally began as the New Morning School, opening in 1971. It adopted the Waldorf curriculum in 1973, and officially changed its name in 1978 to reflect the Waldorf values that had been adopted.
