The dog days of summer are nearly over, but the Baltimore Humane Society is welcoming fall in style with DogFest 2025.
The return of the organization’s largest annual fundraising event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Humane Societyโs shelter in Reisterstown.

Best Friends Fur Ever is presenting this community celebration for pets and their humans, raising critical funds to support the Humane Societyโs mission of providing care, shelter, and adoption services for homeless animals.
Bring your beloved canines for pup-approved games like the 20-yard dash, dog bowling, tetherball, and paw painting. There will be contests for best costume, best pet trick, โCatch the Treat,โ and the popular โPet and Owner Look-alikeโ competition.
The doggies can expend some energy with the interactive activities at the Dippinโ Dogs pool, agility and lure courses, and the Canine Cabana Takeover. Humans can take in entertainment and education via the demonstrations and shows. Visitors can see and learn from Americaโs Got Talent performers Chrissy Joy and the Bone-A-Fied Talent Group, the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services K-9 Unit, the Dog Owners Training Club, and the Maryland Canine Academy. Dogs can even be evaluated on the spot for the AKC Canine Good Citizen title.

Family fun includes the Kids Kennel, with games, crafts, face painting, and a bounce house. Fun for all ages is available thanks to the music, shopping, live entertainment, vendor marketplace, and local food trucks: think Fuzzyโs Burgers, Koshary Korner, Halal Mediterranean Food, Frostyโs Shaved Ice, and much more.
Consider participating in the shelterโs โFill the Vanโ campaign by bringing donations from the event wish list to support animals in the Humane Societyโs care.
Discounted tickets are available until Aug. 31. Prices range from $17.85 (individual) to $44.52 (package of 4).
The Baltimore Humane Society is located at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 21.
