Have you been to sweetgreen yet? Local fans of the D.C.-based chain were ecstatic when the restaurant’s first Baltimore location opened in Harbor East last November. Known for its commitment to locally-sourced products and seasonally-driven, healthy and fast food, sweetgreen is already a hit around town.
And now, ordering your favorite salad or bowl is even easier, with the launch of the new sweetgreen app.
The app, which was released for iOS users last week (an Android version is in development), allows users to easily order and pay online and to participate in a loyalty rewards program in which users earn a $9 for every $99 spent.
The app allows you to customize your order. As you build your meal, the app will show you what the dish will look like and calculate nutritional and caloric information. You’ll also be able to save your favorites for even easier ordering.
In the store, app users bypass the normal line, quickly picking up their meals from a separate line.
The only question, then, is what you should order first. sweetgreen’s new winter menu stays true to the company’s creative and seasonal roots, with dishes like an apple + butternut squash salad, packed with immune-boosting vitamins, and the Japanese-influenced Bento Bowl, with rice, nori furikake and roasted Steelhead trout, a sustainable fish raised in the Columba River. All of it sounds fabulous and healthy.
And, thanks to the app, faster than ever. sweetgreen‘s recently-opened Baltimore location is located at 1306 Fleet Street in Harbor East. 410-537-5006.
