Craft brewers are known for bringing unusual ingredients into the process of creating beer, but Stillwater Artisinal is taking it to new levels.
According to Pitchfork, the Baltimore-born company’s latest offering is a tribute to Kanye West, and its key flavor profile is Dr. Pepper. “I Miss the Old Kanye,” named after a line rapped by Yeezy himself in “The Life of Pablo,” is described as “an 8% ABV imperial porter that deconstructs the flavor of Dr. Pepper.” The brew also uses cloves, juniper, plums, prunes, star anise, and vanilla. Its tagline is, “I’ve been afflicted by not one, not two, but all twenty-three flavors. I’m always one-of-a-kind.” That’s a reference to Dr. Pepper’s 23 flavors.
In case you want try it, a bottle was spotted in a Facebook post from Stillwater-owned Of Love and Regret.
This isn’t Stillwater’s first foray into pop culture. They previously released a tribute to Drake called “Hopvine Bling.”
