The Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Summer Seafood Festival on Saturday, June 28 from 11:00am – 6:00pm.
Festivities will take place at the fire department, adjacent to Kronsburg Park on Main Street in Tilghman Island. Guests will have tons of delicious food to choose from – steamed crabs, crab cakes, soft crabs, fried clams, steamed cherry stone clams, steamed shrimp, fish sandwiches, barbecue chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and french fries. Soft drinks and ice-cold beer round out the offerings.
Live music by Bird Dog and the Road Kings begins at noon. The Crab Race event starts at 1:30 p.m. and the Fireman’s Parade begins at 3 p.m. Nautical artisans and craft vendors will display their wares, and there will be children’s activities and games for the younger set. Skipjack cruises also will be available at Dogwood Harbor and are priced separately. (Tilghman Island is about a two hour drive from Baltimore, closer if you’re already “down the ocean,” hon!)
All proceeds go to the Tilghman Volunteer Fire Department. Admission is free, with all food items priced separately. For more information, visit www.tilghmanmd.com.
