If you’ve never been to Artifact, Woodberry Kitchen’s coffee + lunch spot, you need to check it out. In the morning, you can get breakfast treats (like the English muffin with sage sausage, egg and cheddar cheeeeeese) served until 11:00am and then during the day (until 7:00pm), you can get soup, salads and sandwiches. You can also have a bottle of wine, craft beers, kombucha, etc. Often, they host events in the space at night for Artifact After Dark – chef pop-ups, private events and more. This week is a good week with two delicious events at Artitfact.
Every Wednesday night, Spike Gjerde cooks “Bowl and a Beer” – an affordable, delicious, filling, always vegan meal. Tonight, Chef Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground (kick ass ramen shop in DC) will be guesting at Bowl and a Beer and for $15 you get Erik’s creation and a beer. Runs from 6:00-9:00pm tonight.
Then Thursday night, Millstone Cellars is taking over Artifact! They will share some new releases of ciders and more, which will also be incorporated in to cocktails mixed by Woodberry Kitchen’s Bar Manager, Andre Barnhill. For $45, guests get small plates by Woodberry’s Chef de Cuisine, Opie Crooks (he is the best!) and two cocktails.
